Inspired by the words of Swatantrya Veer Sawarkar, Hindu Mahila Sabha was established in early 1950’s. It was rare in those days for women to gather together to work towards the upliftment of the community.
Like minded women determined to make true change in the world set the objectives for the organization. A commitment to success by gathering and working towards a common objective of helping the community, laid the foundation of the organization. Dedicated to working towards social, medical, educational and religious cause for the welfare of the community started with organizing the navratri mahotsav.
This year a small pooja known as ‘Kumarika Poojan’ in the honor of Shaheed and Disabled Soldier’s daughters.
Members from Hindu Mahila Sabha donated their time to teach special children art and craft projects and other activities.
This year we helped Mai BalBhavan organization with donation of clothes and goods for children from that sanstha and kumarika Poojan special girls.
On occasion of International Women’s Day we held the program ‘Amhi Sahacharini’ were we interview the women for their distinguished work from different sectors.
SangeetaTai Dhaigude, Commissioner of Malegaon was given Saudamini Puraskar for being fearless and anti-corrupt in bureaucratic world.
In 2017 on the occasion of international Women’s day, we conferred 8 achievement letters to 8 extraordinary women Smt.Jayatai Modak, Smt. Prabhatai Nene, Smt. Vidyatai Gadgil, Smt. Sheelatai Sable, Smt. Harshatai Shah, Smt. Majushatai Sahastrabudhe And Smt. Sadhanatai Godbole who have proved themselves in their respective field of work.
